Co-Pastor Job Description

The candidate shall be a trained and committed servant of Jesus Christ, the Church, LFCC's children, youth, and families. The candidate shall possess teaching, leadership, and administrative gifts and relational skills to work with children, youth, and adults. As applicable, the candidate shall be licensed (or commit to being licensed) by the Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Objectives

•  To build a strong and growing love for God in the children and youth.

•  To keep the children and youth and their future an important focus of the church.

•  To empower parents to fulfill their biblical role as the primary source of Christian training for their children.

•  To build and encourage family health and unity.

Responsibilities

•  Provide for growth of the children (currently 40 children ages 2 – 11) and youth (currently 5 ages 12-15) ministries.

•  Recruit, train, encourage, and support lay people in the children and youth ministries

•  Planning and programming the children and youth ministry events.

•  The candidate will be part of a team that will share the pastoral tasks at LFCC, including preaching and assisting in worship services and other public gatherings.

•  Accomplish administrative duties of the church office.
