The Lord is My Shepherd
Psalm 23
PASTOR bobby meltzer
july 5, 2026
In every generation, we will find that people are still lost, anxious, grieving, and walking through the valleys of life. Psalm 23 is marked as one of the most familiar passages in Scripture, but it is not just a psalm we learn; it must be a psalm we live.
Through the imagery of a shepherd and his sheep, David gives us a deeply personal picture of God’s care, guidance, protection, provision, pursuit, and love for lost sheep. This psalm reminds us that the Lord is not distant from our needs or absent from our pain. He is the Shepherd who knows the path, leads us with purpose, walks with us through the valley, and brings his people safely home.
