Anxiety is like a rocking chair. It gives us something to do, but it doesn’t get us anywhere. Jesus counters our fearful perspective with God’s eternal one, reminding us that our Father feeds ravens, clothes lilies, knows what we need, and calls us to seek his kingdom first and treasure heaven more than earth so that worry loses its grip.
